Calling all Startups! GMIC Beijing wants to help you prove your worth!


The G-Startup Competition at GMIC is in search of Startups that embody innovation, have the potential for globalization, and are ready to compete!

Pitch your startup to a panel of serial entrepreneurs, angel investors, and VCs, while gaining massive exposure through elite international media!

              Applications are open now!


Prior to the conference:

The top 20 Startups will be chosen and invited to GMIC Beijing 2013.  On April 15th, Startup contestants will be announced via web. Then, on May 7th, the 20 pre-selected finalists will pitch at the G-Startup stage, engage in a round of Q&A, and be judged by a team of top level venture capitalists and angel investors.

The Grand Prize winner, announced on May 8th, receives:

  • Free incubation with a G-Startup partner
  • 5 minute demo on the GMIC Main Stage
  • Free service prize from G-Startup partner
  • Global PR and media promotions
  • Free iPad and other tech gear
  • G-Startup trophy and certificate

Startup Entry Guidelines:

  • Only mobile Internet based services/products
  • All countries welcome
  • Presentations must be in English [or] Chinese; translations in both languages will be provided
  • Prototype, demo, and/or PowerPoint slides are required for the selection process. (Use of Slideshare is recommended, but not compulsory)
  • Startup is not older than 5 years
  • Has received less than 1 million USD funding
  • Global growth potential

Startup Exhibition

The Startup Exhibition will be ongoing throughout GMIC.

The Exhibition Package costs $1500 USD and includes:

  • 1×1 sq meter exhibition booth
  • 2 free appSpace tickets
